A self-taught interdisciplinary artist born out of the social justice movement.
How did I become an artist? In the fifth grade, my elementary school chose my hand-drawn design for the cover of our yearbook. Winning the school contest was a big deal, and I still beam with pride. This art cover counts as my first publication, right? Later in high school, I won a state statewide contest in partnership with the César Chávez Foundation for a 32x24 inch color pencil mural detailing the history of the United Farm Workers! Then, as a grassroots immigrant rights and ethnic studies organizer at Napa Valley College, I started designing event marketing materials because we had no budget to outsource. Since then, as an interdisciplinary artist for nearly fifteen years, I have helped community programs, organizations, individuals, campaigns, and local businesses led by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) tell their unique stories by sharing my sacred gifts.
Let’s co-create radical art together!
